This article is intended for white educators and professionals who are ready to engage in anti-racist education, but struggle with discomfort when talking about race and privilege. DiAngelo outlines common manifestations of discomfort, collectively identified as White Fragility, to help white educators do the pre-work necessary to engage in functional conversations about race.

With the author’s permission, a collective of artists have turned the article into a printable zine to share with peers.
